Squid Game 2 is confirmed to air on December 26, 2024. Season 2 will feature Seong Gi Hun canceling his plans to go to the United States to pursue his own goals related to the deadly game he won in Season 1. The newly released trailer begins with a warning sound waking up Gi Hun, played by Lee Jung Jae.
He opens the door to the room with a gun and finds the Front Man in front of him. The Pink Guards then reappear in the Squid Game arena. A giant piggy bank is filled with bundles of cash, and the words "Are you ready?" appear, indicating that the game preparations are complete.
The trailer also features a fierce gunfight scene and ends with Gi Hun, wearing a green tracksuit numbered 456, further heightening anticipation for the new dynamic story that will unfold. Squid Game 2 will again star Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun, and Gong Yoo.
Additionally, Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, Lee Jin Wook, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Kang Ae Sim, Lee David, Choi Seung Hyun, Roh Jae Won, Jo Yu Ri, and Won Ji An will play new characters.
