Prada officially ends its collaboration contract with South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun. This decision came after the Queen of Tears star fell into a controversy with the late Kim Sae-ron. In recent times, Kim Soo-hyun has been surrounded by unpleasant news regarding his old relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron which was revealed to the public.
"It has been mutually decided to end the collaboration between Prada and Kim Soo-hyun," Prada said in a brief statement, according to Women's Wear Daily. The 37-year-old actor was named Prada's brand ambassador in January. Kim Soo-hyun also attended Prada's ready-to-wear men's fashion show at Milan Fashion Week.
Kim Soo-hyun is known for his roles in Dream High and Moon Embracing the Sun. He has 20 million followers on his Instagram account. However, Kim Soo-hyun's popularity has taken a hit recently when the YouTube channel Hoverlab uploaded a video claiming that he had a long-standing relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron.
He was said to have been in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron when the actress was only 15 years old. Not only that, photos of the closeness between the two also slowly spread on social media. Some netizens even considered him a pedophile and doing child grooming.
Previously, Kim Soo-hyun, through his agency Gold Medalist, had denied the claims. They even planned to take legal action to address the news. However, after Kim Soo-hyun's name continued to be highlighted, the agency finally confirmed that the two had been in a relationship. However, their relationship lasted when Kim Sae-ron was of legal age.
