The Korean drama Dear Hongrang tells the story of Hong Rang (Lee Jae Wook), a young man from a wealthy family who is prepared to continue his family's business empire. However, when he was eight years old, Hong Rang suddenly disappeared. Twelve years later, he returned with amnesia.
Jae Yi (Jo Bo Ah) is Hong Rang's half-sister. She has always hoped for Hong Rang to return. However, she begins to doubt whether the man who returned is really the Hong Rang she knew. Jae Yi then finds out the origin of the young man who claims to be Hong Rang.
However, as time goes by, Jae Yi likes the young man. Another conflict arises from Mu Jin, Hong Rang's father's adopted son. Mu Jin is predicted to replace Hong Rang as the successor to the family business. He also likes Jae Yi who is actually starting to be interested in Hong Rang.
