GOT7's Jinyoung is considering an offer to star in the new Korean drama alongside Kim You Jung, titled 100 Days of Lies. According to reports from local media on Tuesday July 29, 2025, GOT7's Jinyoung was offered the male lead role in a drama scheduled to air on tvN in the first half of next year.
BH Entertainment, the agency that manages Jinyoung, has responded to the report. "This is a project that he has received an offer for and is currently reviewing," said an agency representative as released by Soompi.
100 Days of Lies tells the story of a master pickpocket from Gyeongseong (now Seoul) who becomes a secret spy for the independence movement by working for the Japanese General Government in Korea under a false identity.
This drama was written by Ryu Bo Ri, writer of the drama script Do You Like Brahms? and Trolley. The project will be directed by Yoo In Shik, who directed the popular dramas Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Dr. Romantic. Last year, it was revealed that Kim You Jung was in talks to play the female lead in the drama.
If both actors agree to the roles, Jinyoung and Kim You Jung will be acting together. Meanwhile, Jinyoung made his acting debut in 2012 through the KBS drama Dream High 2. Four months later, in May of the same year, he debuted in the music industry as a member of GOT7.
Since then he has starred in several projects, including the dramas The Devil Judge, Yumi's Cells, The Witch, and Our Unwritten Seoul, as well as the film Hi-5. Currently, Jinyoung is busy filming JTBC's new drama entitled Shining.
