The Korean drama actor, Trigger (2025), Lee Ji Hoon, was reported to the police by his wife. He was accused of domestic violence (KDRT). This news was reported by local South Korean media on Friday (August 15, 2025).
An article published by Ten Asia stated, "A 40-year-old actor was reported to the police for domestic violence." His identity was revealed to be Lee Ji Hoon. Police explained that they received a report of domestic violence by phone on the evening of July 24.
The call revealed that the 1979-born actor had been abusive toward his wife at their home in the Bucheon area. The violence erupted after the two had an argument. Lee Ji Hoon then attempted to leave the house, but was stopped by his wife. A physical altercation ensued.
The police immediately went to the scene and questioned Lee Ji Hoon and his wife. After the investigation, the wife of the actor, who debuted in 2003, decided not to pursue legal action. Lee Ji Hoon's management, Y.ONE Entertainment, clarified the news.
In an official statement, they confirmed that Lee Ji Hoon was the actor reported to be involved in the alleged domestic violence incident. However, the agency denied any violence during the altercation that occurred on July 24, 2025.
"Police arrived at the scene after the report was filed, but they insisted it wasn't a serious incident. There was no violence, and the wife has stated she doesn't want to press charges, so the case is currently in the process of being closed," the agency said.
Lee Ji Hoon has appeared in various Korean films and dramas throughout his career. He most recently starred in the Netflix original series Trigger and previously appeared in the film The Round Up: No Way Out (2023).
