A surprise from Lisa. Amidst the exciting news of BLACKPINK's November 2025 comeback, Lisa announced that BLINKs and Lilies will be releasing a short film project. This short film is titled Dream and stars Lisa alongside Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi.
Kentaro Sakaguchi, born on July 11, 1991, is an actor known for his roles in the films My Love Story! (2016) and No Longer Heroine (2016), which earned him Best Actor at the 11th Osaka Cinema Festival.
His latest project is the Korean drama What Comes After Love, starring Lee Se Young. The short film Dream is scheduled for release on August 14, 2025. The film's title is the same as one of the songs on Lisa's album ALTER EGO.
The trailer has been released. At under a minute long, the video conveys a powerful heartbreak vibe. The scene opens with Kentaro and Lisa sitting opposite each other in a restaurant. The atmosphere felt a bit awkward.
Then we hear the guy's monologue about his relationship with Lisa ending. The monologue is in Japanese, so it perfectly matches the lyrics to Lisa's song ROCKSTAR, doesn't it? We're then shown a montage of the couple together before their story ultimately ends.
It's intriguing to see the story unfold, as well as Lisa's acting in a short film. "A beautiful and emotional love story, soon to be yours," wrote Lisa in her Instagram post seen Wednesday August 13, 2025. The short film "Dream" was written and directed by Ojun Kwon.
The director has previously directed music videos for many K-Pop stars, including GOT7's "Hard Carry" (2016), Jackson Wang's "Different Game" featuring Gucci Mane (2018), BIBI's "Animal Farm" (2022), and BTS's Jungkook and Jack Harlow's "3D Performance Version" (2023).
