Lee Ji Hoon Was Dragged into a Domestic Violence Case After Being Reported by His Wife

Korean actor Lee Ji Hoon has drawn public attention after reports of domestic violence against his wife. Lee Ji Hoon's agency has finally confirmed that he has been reported to the authorities. According to police, they began receiving phone calls from Lee Ji Hoon's wife on Friday afternoon (July 24, 2025). 

Lee Ji Hoon reportedly assaulted her at their home in Bucheon. During an argument with his wife, Lee Ji Hoon tried to leave the house, but his wife stopped him. The couple's argument escalated into a physical fight. Although the star of the Netflix Korean drama Trigger was already under investigation for assault, his wife did not want to press charges. 

Therefore, Lee Ji Hoon's case was classified as a domestic violence case, rather than a criminal one. In addition, based on witness statements and the fact that the complainant, his wife, did not want Lee Ji Hoon to be prosecuted, the police intended to close the case.

On Thursday August 14, 2025, Lee Ji Hoon's agency released an official statement to clarify the reports that had shocked the public. "Hello, this is Y.ONE Entertainment. It is true that the '40-year-old actor with the initials A' in today's report is Lee Ji Hoon." 

In its official statement, Y.ONE Entertainment denied that Lee Ji Hoon had committed the assault as reported by his wife to the police. "During a domestic dispute, police arrived at the scene due to the wife's report, but based on the testimony at the scene, they determined that it was not a serious incident.

"There was no assault, and his wife clearly stated that she does not wish to press charges, so the case is in the process of being closed," explained a representative of Lee Ji Hoon's agency, as reported by Soompi. Furthermore, Y.ONE Entertainment apologized for the incident that dragged the 46-year-old actor's name into question. 

Currently, Lee Ji Hoon and his wife are also reflecting on the incident that occurred in their marriage. "We sincerely apologize for causing concern regarding this matter. Both Lee Ji Hoon and his wife are reflecting on the incident," concluded the Y.ONE Entertainment representative.
