South Korean actress and SNSD member, Yoona, has once again proven her professionalism in the world of acting. In her latest film, Pretty Crazy, Yoona dared to do an extreme scene by jumping straight into the Han River without the help of a stunt double.

Yoona's reckless decision to jump into the river without a stunt double made director Lee Sang Geun take his hat off. In the romantic comedy, Yoona plays Seon Ji, a beautiful woman who looks normal during the day, but changes drastically every night as if possessed by a demon.

This mysterious character change requires Yoona to give her all, including in dangerous scenes. One of the most eye-catching moments was when Seon Ji jumped into the Han River.

Instead of using a stuntwoman, Yoona chose to do the work herself. The director even admitted to being a bit worried about the actress's bravery. "If you had told me to jump in, I probably wouldn't have been able to do it.

Yoona was obviously scared, because the river conditions are unpredictable. But she still insisted on doing it herself," said Lee Sang Geun on News1, on Sunday August 17, 2025.

Even more surprising, the scene was filmed in just one take. Yoona pulled it off flawlessly, leaving the filming crew stunned. "We only had one chance. I was sitting on the boat with my camera, praying that everything would go smoothly.

When it worked, I realized that doubt often hinders us, even though humans can do the impossible," the director recalled. Besides those extreme scenes, Yoona also underwent other challenges such as intense mukbang scenes to portray her character's obsession with chiffon cake.

Chemistry with actor Ahn Bo Hyun who plays Gil Goo, an unemployed man trapped in Seon Ji's world, is also the main attraction of this film. Pretty Crazy is scheduled to premiere in South Korea on August 13, 2025.
