Kim Seon Ho's agency has released a second statement clarifying the situation. The South Korean actor was embroiled in a scandal following his comeback with his latest drama, Can This Love Be Translated, alongside Go Youn Jung.
According to a report by Sports Kyunghang on Sunday (February 1, 2026), Kim Seon Ho shares striking similarities with Cha Eun Woo. He allegedly operates a separate family company from their agency Fantagio, which is located at his residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Sports Kyunghang reported that Kim Seon Ho is listed as CEO, while his parents serve as directors and auditors. In an official statement released on, Wednesday (February 4, 2026, Fantagio explained that Kim Seon Ho had stopped the company's operations after causing a "misunderstanding."
"From the time the company was founded in January 2024 until his new contract with Fantagio began in February 2025, he received payments through his company for his activities." "Kim Seon Ho realized that a sole proprietorship could be misleading, so he ceased operations.
For over a year, he has not engaged in any activities through the company," Fantagio said in a statement. Fantagio has previously denied any tax evasion. Kim Seon Ho founded the company because he was "active in the theater industry and intends to continue his involvement in stage productions in the future."
Netizens were shocked after discovering that Kim Seon Ho's parents used the company's credit card for personal expenses, such as buying cigarettes, paying for karaoke, and purchasing a Genesis GV80 registered under the actor's sole proprietorship.
Fantagio has now confirmed that Kim Seon Ho has "returned all records of his previous company cards, family salaries, and company vehicles." Kim Seon Ho has already completed his personal income tax and sole proprietorship tax payments.
He has also decided to close the company managed by his parents. "Kim Seon Ho deeply regrets his decision to establish and maintain this company for over a year without a thorough understanding of its operations. We bow our heads in apology," Fantagio concluded.
