Following Mark Lee, another NCT member has decided to leave SM Entertainment. However, unlike Mark, who chose not to continue his activities as a member of NCT 127 and NCT DREAM, Ten is open to continuing his activities as a member of NCT and WayV.

Through an official statement released on April 6, 2026, SM Entertainment revealed that Ten's contract period will end on April 8. "After careful and in-depth discussions regarding Ten's future direction, we have reached a mutual agreement to terminate his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, effective April 8th.

Moving forward, we will remain in close communication to explore opportunities for Ten to continue participating in WayV and NCT activities, if possible." The agency further expressed their gratitude for the Thai-born artist's dedication.

"Throughout his career, Ten has displayed a unique artistic presence and broad talent, both in group and solo work. We sincerely appreciate the time we've shared together and wish Ten the best as he moves on to his next chapter."

Regarding WayV's future, SM Entertainment emphasized that the group will continue with the agency's full support. They also asked fans to continue showing love and support for Ten and WayV despite the change in management structure.
