BLACKPINK's Jisoo tested positive for COVID-19. Unfortunately the BLACKPINK personnel had to miss the concert in Osaka, Japan today. The shocking news was announced by YG Entertainment through BLACKPINK's Weverse account. Before testing positive for COVID-19, Jisoo had experienced mild flu symptoms.

Although initially declared negative from the results of the independent test kit, BLACKPINK's Jisoo later tested positive for COVID-19. "Hello. This is YG Entertainment. We are announcing that BLACKPINK's Jisoo tested positive for COVID-19 today (June 1, 2023). Jisoo experienced mild flu symptoms on May 30, 2023.

She initially tested negative from the results of an independent test but tested positive today," the statement said. YG Entertainment as reported by Koreaboo. Therefore, BLACKPINK will not perform in full line-up in Osaka. Fans will only see Jennie, Rose, and Lisa on the Kyocera Dome stage. "Jisoo showed a strong desire to appear on the tour in order to keep his promise to fans who have been waiting for a long time. 

However, like it or not, we decided that it would be better for him not to participate in the show for the safety of everyone as well as the health of the artist," YG Entertainment explained. At the end of his statement, YG Entertainment made sure to prioritize the recovery of BLACKPINK's Jisoo. So that they can continue BORN PINK's world tour schedule. 

"We will do our best not only for Jisoo's speedy recovery, but also for the health and safety of our artists. We ask for your understanding once again. Thank you." BLACKPINK is scheduled to perform in Osaka for two days, June 3 and 4. BLACKPINK personnel will be busy with the BORN PINK world tour schedule until the end of August. 

The world tour, which started in South Korea last October 2022, will continue in Melbourne (June 10-11) and Sydney (June 16-17). Not only that, BLACKPINK's Jisoo will also come to Paris (July 15), New Jersey (August 11-12), Las Vegas (August 18), San Francisco (August 22), and Los Angeles (August 26).
