The newest and final sub-unit of the NCT boy group, namely NCT Wish, is scheduled to make its debut next February 2024. Quoting from Naver on Thursday January 18, 2024, NCT Wish is a unit formed through the survival program 'NCT Universe: LASTART' which was broadcast in 2023 by SM Entertainment .
Through this survival program, 6 members, consisting of Sion, Yushi, Riku, Jaehee (formerly Daeyoung), Ryo, and Sakuya will debut in February and carry out their global activities under the name NCT Wish. In particular, NCT Wish will have a promotional base in Korea and Japan.
The team name NCT Wish means a team born from the sincere hopes of members and fans, fulfilling everyone's hopes, and dreaming through NCT Wish's music and love under the slogan 'Wish for our wishes'. This team has ambition and a strong desire to achieve success in the future.
In particular, NCT Wish is a team with an innocent and youthful charm, with an average member age of 18.3 years. They plan to display unique colors and sides, as well as become a 'Wish Icon' that spreads hopeful energy to all music lovers around the world.
Along with the announcement of their debut plans, NCT Wish has also shared a video entitled 'WISH: WISH for Our WISH' on a number of their social media accounts to mark the change of the team name which previously used the name NCT New Team.
Apart from that, they also shared a number of new teaser images of the members as their first introduction under the new name NCT Wish. Meanwhile, NCT Wish has previously carried out a number of pre-debut activities under the name NCT New Team since September 2023.
