SEVENTEEN's Wonwoo will start his mandatory military service on April 3, 2025. The idol, who was born on July 17, 1996, is undergoing his mandatory military service at the age of 28. Therefore, Pledis Entertainment announced that its artist will not be able to participate in group activities in the future.

"Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment. We would like to inform you that SEVENTEEN's Wonwoo will be enlisting in the military on April 3, 2025. Therefore, he will not be able to participate in various upcoming activities, including the Tecate Pa'l Norte music festival in April 2025 and the fan meeting in Japan," the statement read, as quoted by Soompi.

However, Wonwoo will still be involved in the Caratland fan meeting and will appear in various pre-recorded content. "As previously announced, Wonwoo will be participating in Caratland which will be held on March 20-21, 2025, and he will also be able to interact with CARATS (fans) through pre-recorded content," the statement added.

In addition, Pledis revealed that there will be no official events on the day Wonwoo enlists. They asked fans not to come to the military enlistment location to avoid crowds. "There will be no official events on the day of his enlistment, and we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting his alternate military service location.

Please send your sincere messages of support for Wonwoo through Weverse," the agency said. The agency expressed its gratitude if CARATS continue to support Wonwoo until he completes his 18-month military service. "We ask for your continued love and support for the artist until he returns safe and healthy.

We will also remain committed to providing Wonwoo with all the support he needs during this time," concluded Pledis Entertainment. Wonwoo will be the second SEVENTEEN member to enlist in the military after Jeonghan in early September 2024.
