Sad news for Korean drama fans was confirmed this Sunday February 16, 2025. Kim Sae-ron, a South Korean actress, was found dead at home today. The 24-year-old's career went through a difficult period, as in 2022 she was caught driving drunk and the press did not forgive the Asian star.

One of the friends who was going to meet the celebrity, when visiting her home, ended up coming across the regrettable scene and immediately called the police. According to Yonhap News Agency, authorities have found no evidence of foul play and the public figure’s early departure remains under investigation.

When the drunken incident came to light, Gold Medalist, the agency that handled his image, said: “Kim Sae-ron is deeply reflecting on the mistake he apparently made. The damage caused by the accident is being compensated to the maximum extent possible. I will do my best to take responsibility to the end.”

Kim posted a handwritten letter on her Instagram, along with the text: “I caused harm to many people, including merchants, citizens and those who restored the damage. I should have acted more carefully and responsibly, but I couldn’t. I sincerely apologize.”

Due to the situation, her participation in Netflix’s “Hunting Dogs”, alongside Lee Sang-yi and Woo Do-hwa, was reduced. Another cut that left her unbalanced was from the cast of “Streetcar”, with the renowned Chung Soo Bin and Park Hee-soon.

E-Daily reported that Sae-ron had decided to change her stage name to Kim I-im and was ready to embark on a new phase in the artistic world: “Kim Sae-ron is preparing to open a cafe with her acquaintances and return to the entertainment industry.”

Her resume includes the following blockbusters: “The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim,” “A Girl at the Door,” “Hi! School — Love On,” “The Man from Nowhere,” “A Brand New Life,” “The Villagers,” and “Glamorous Temptation.”
