MONSTA X's I.M who was forced to temporarily stop various activities due to health problems. According to Allkpop on Wednesday July 30, 2025, I.M will be temporarily inactive due to chronic back pain, according to an official statement from Starship Entertainment released on July 29, 2025 KST.

In a statement, the agency explained that IM is undergoing intensive treatment for long-standing back pain. Based on the results of the latest medical consultation, the doctor recommended that the idol take a period of complete rest to fully recover.

Therefore, all of IM's activities with MONSTA X and his solo activities will be postponed until his health condition improves. "IM's health is our top priority right now. After receiving medical advice, we have decided that he requires a stable recovery period.

Therefore, we will temporarily suspend all of his activities," said Starship Entertainment. As a result of this decision, I.M will definitely miss several important dates, including KCON LA 2025, which was scheduled to take place on August 2, 2025. 

This is one of the major performances I.M will have to miss due to his current physical condition. In its explanation, the agency emphasized that they will continue to prioritize the health of their artists and provide maximum support so that the recovery process can run smoothly and thoroughly.

"We are committed to paying full attention to I.M's health. All decisions regarding his future activities will be based on the results of further medical examinations and the development of his health condition," the agency added.

This announcement comes shortly after IM's absence from the 2025 Waterbomb Busan music festival on July 26, 2025. At the time, the agency also announced that IM was experiencing back pain and had visited the hospital for medical treatment. 

He was then advised to rest completely to prevent his condition from worsening. "I.M recently experienced back pain and underwent a medical examination. The doctor recommended that he rest and receive treatment," the agency said at the time.

News of I.M's health has sparked an outpouring of support from MONSTA X fans, known as Monbebe. Many of them expressed their prayers and moral support via social media for their idol's speedy recovery.
