BIGHIT MUSIC has announced the names of BTS and TXT's successors. The new boy band, which will debut this month, is called Cortis. Cortis' name was announced by BIGHIT MUSIC, as reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily on Thursday August 7, 2025.

Cortis will debut on August 18, 2025. The Cortis project had previously been briefly revealed in early 2025. The members who were recruited to join this boyband were BIGHIT MUSIC trainees. They've been practicing diligently for at least three years.

There are also new members who joined through global auditions held in 2023. The five members of Cortis are Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho. The name Cortis was inspired by the phrase "Color Outside the Lines."

This means the group will perform music without the established rules commonly held by society. Wow, what will the music be like? What's certain is that Cortis was designed by BIGHIT MUSIC as a creative group of young people.

"They will show their talents through lyrics, songs, choreography, videography, based on their own stories," said the management. Cortis' official social media channels have been launched. The members' faces can also be seen in the group's official trailer video.

Before their debut, the Cortis members' portfolios were already impressive. According to BIGHIT MUSIC, they had already participated in creating songs and choreographing iconic dances for HYBE's seniors.

Martin and James have co-composed songs like TXT's "Deja Vu" and "Miracle," ENHYPEN's "Outside," and ILLIT's "Magnetic." James also choreographed the songs Deja Vu, Magnetic, and ILLIT's latest song, Cherish (My Love).
