Park Bom's health is currently poor. She has decided to temporarily take a break from 2NE1's activities, which have been active again for the past year. The announcement was made by D-Nation Entertainment on Wednesday August 6, 2025.
As reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily on Thursday (August 7, 2025), the management stated that the decision was made following the advice of medical personnel. "We are truly saddened to report this, especially as many fans have shown support for 2NE1's group activities.
However, as medical personnel have recommended that she take sufficient rest to stabilize, we have reached this decision after thorough discussion," they said in an official statement. D-Nation also asked for fans' support for Park Bom's speedy recovery.
2NE1's activities will continue for the foreseeable future with a three-member lineup: CL, Minzy, and Sandara Park. Due to health reasons, Park Bom was also previously absent from performing at Waterbomb Busan 2025. She was originally scheduled to perform there on July 26, 2025.
Management didn't provide further details about the artist's health. They only said she needed rest and to stabilize Park Bom's condition. 2NE1 reunited after a long hiatus and held the WELCOME BACK concert tour. The concert also came to Jakarta on November 23, 2024.
In an interview ahead of her tour, CL expressed her longing for BLACKJACKs, who have been with 2NE1 since their debut. This concert served as a reunion, a time for nostalgia, and a time to reminisce about their time together since 2009.
