BLACKPINK’s Lisa has teamed up with popular Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi for a stunning new short film for her song “Dream.” The five-minute video, released on Thursday August 14, 2025 on her agency’s YouTube channel, shows the two stars navigating the complex emotions of love and loss as estranged lovers.

“Dream” is a track from Lisa’s solo album, “Alter Ego.” The release comes amid a massive year for the global superstar. Lisa was just nominated for a 2025 MTV VMA for Best K-Pop for her song “Born Again,” and she is also set to make her acting debut in the next season of HBO’s hit series, The White Lotus.

This follows her celebrated solo performance at Coachella in April 2025. This isn’t her first time being recognized by the VMAs; she’s already a two-time winner, having taken home trophies for “LALISA” (2022) and “Rockstar.”

Her solo album, “Alter Ego,” also saw huge success in the U.S., debuting at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and hitting No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart. While her solo career continues to soar, Lisa is also in the middle of the “DEADLINE” world tour with BLACKPINK.
