The South Korean entertainment world was shocked by the news of the sudden death of actor Lee Sang Bo at the age of 45. Lee Sang Bo reportedly passed away on March 26, 2026. Police are currently conducting an intensive investigation to determine the exact cause of death.

The actor's body has been lying in state in Room 3 of the Pyeongtaek Central Funeral Home in Gyeonggi-do since this afternoon, March 27. Born in 1981, Lee Sang Bo made his debut in the acting industry through the KBS2 drama 'The Invisible Man' in 2006.

His figure is widely known through various popular drama titles such as 'The Golden Era of Daughter-in-Law', 'Bad Love', 'Private Lives', 'Miss Monte-Cristo', to the latest 'Elegant Empire'.

Lee Sang Bo's career was briefly tested in 2022 when he was accused of drug use. However, the accusations were proven baseless after a police investigation revealed that the effects he saw were a reaction to antidepressants he had legally taken as prescribed by a doctor.

The case ultimately resulted in the actor's reputation being cleared. After overcoming this difficult period, he made a successful comeback through the drama 'Elegant Empire' and recently signed an exclusive contract with a new agency last year.

This is what makes the news of his death so shocking, considering his seemingly strong passion for continuing to create. Lee Sang Bo's funeral is scheduled for March 29, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. local time. His body will be laid to rest at the Pyeongtaek City Crematorium.
