POCO launched the M4 Pro 5G in India on February 15. Now, the company has announced that a 4G version of the handset, dubbed the "POCO M4 Pro 4G," will be introduced in India on February 28.The mobile maker has also announced that it will disclose more details about the smartphone starting tomorrow until the launch date. the device will be sold via Flipkart.
The M4 Pro 4G is POCO's offering aimed at those who do not want to spend extra bucks for 5G connectivity smartphone. Based on the rumored specifications, it seems the M4 Pro 4G will be a rebranded Redmi Note 11S. However, it will be interesting to see how the company will price the device considering the Note 11S costs more than the M4 Pro 5G.
The POCO M4 Pro 4G could bear a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 90Hz refresh rate. The upcoming smartphone will feature a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it may sport a triple camera unit.
As far a the cameras are concerned, the POCO M4 Pro 4G is expected to sport a triple rear camera unit, comprising a 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Up front, it may have a 16MP selfie snapper. On the front software, it may boot Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 OS oout of the box.
Under the hood, the POCO M4 Pro 4G is expected to be fueled by a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone may pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the smartphone should offer support for 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a Type-C port.
The official pricing and availability details of the POCO M4 Pro 4G will be announced by the Chinese tech company at the time of its launch on February 28. However, we expect the base variant of the smartphone to be priced under Rs. 15,000. The handset comes in three colors – POCO Yellow, Cool Blue, and Power Black.
